As we get close to the end of the year, I thought it would be appropriate for me to share a small gift with you. I have a template I use for my personal journal that I hope you might find useful. I’ve created a “Journal” section in my OneNote notebook, so it’s available whenever I want to capture something. If you’re into journaling, which I highly encourage, here’s a cure for the blank page and a thought-starter.
[Insert Today’s Date]
Open loops: What tasks or thoughts do I need to capture and process?
Gratitude: What are three things I'm grateful for today?
Successes: What went well, and what strengths contributed to that success?
Lessons: What didn’t go well? What can I learn or adjust moving forward?
Priority: What is the top priority I want to focus on tomorrow?
Anticipate Challenges: What obstacles might arise, and how can I prepare to handle them effectively?
Next Actions: What is the first step I need to take for my top priority?
One Improvement: What’s one small thing I can do differently tomorrow to make it even better than today?
Thoughts:
That’s My Perspective.
